  1. Have a picnic on the living room floor.
  2. On a beautiful day set up water play outdoors; water jugs, bowls, watering cans and spray bottles.
  3. Hug your child and don’t be the first one to let go.
  4. Water the flowers together and smell them.
  5. Give your child a foot or head massage.
  6. Have a tea party.
  7. Give your child 15 minutes of uninterrupted play time together.
  8. Tell your child stories about when you were a kid.
  9. Make up stories before bed and have your child cast all the characters.
  10. Have gratitude time at the dinner table.
  11. Go to the library and get piles of books.
  12. Dig in the sandbox together.
  13. Light candles and turn off all the lights.
  14. Make a fort.
  15. Dig in the sandbox together.
  16. Tell your children often and specifically what you love about them.
